Salar de Uyuni Lake

Have you ever seen this sight?

This is Salar de Uyuni Lake. It is located in western Bolivia.

Although there  was only a transportation by a car until 2010, but on 2011, we can go there by airplane.

During November to March is the rainy season, the surface is covered with several to 50cm water, and it reflects the sunshine.

It is so beautiful like a mirror, so everyone calls “the mirror on the sky”.

In the dry season, most water dries up, and it made crystal salt. It shows the different sight from the rainy season. The altitude is almost same as Mt. Fuji (3600 meters), so traveler must bring an oxygen cylinder for mountain sickness.

I’ve never been to there. I just watched it on TV show, but I was really impressed  by this sight.

I will go there someday!!!
